General description

抗体分子は通常、1対の重鎖と共有結合している2本の免疫グロブリン軽鎖から成ります。免疫グロブリン軽鎖は、ギリシャ文字のκとλによって表される2つのタイプで生じます。κおよびγ軽鎖は約250アミノ酸長で、平均重量は約25 kDaです。免疫グロブリン集団に見られるκとλの比率は、動物種によって異なります。
