      Description
OverviewA glucopyranosyl urea compound that acts as an inhibitor of muscle glycogen phosphorylase (Ki = 930 nM). Displays a mixed type of inhibition. Enhances glucose sensitivity in chow-fed, obese, diabetic mice and increasing hepatic glucose uptake. Reduces blood glucose levels and increases hepatic glycogen content in C57/BL6J mice. Shown to increase mitochondrial oxidation in Hep2G cells under normoglycemic conditions. Enhances the expression of uncoupling proteins2 (UCP2) in HepG2 cells. This effect was less pronounced under hyperglycemic conditions.

Please note that the molecular weight for this compound is batch-specific due to variable water content.
