Description

Exhibits greater affinity for Cu2+ and Zn2+ than for Ca2+ and Mg2+. Shown to induce distal dominant axonopathy in animal models. Clioquinol treatment has been shown to be beneficial in a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease.
