General description
The presence of casamino acids and yeast extract promote the growth of verotoxin producing E. coli. The presence of trace elements and resulting high pH value additionally supports the growth and toxin production.
From CAYE Broth (Base), the selective enrichment CAYE broth can be prepared by the addition of CAYE Broth Supplement (1.00051).
