      DescriptionAnti-KIF3A Antibody
      Alternate Names
      • Kinesin-like protein KIF3A
      • Microtubule plus end-directed kinesin motor 3A
Background InformationKinesin-like protein KIF3 (KIF3A) is a member of the heteromeric family of kinesins and plays an important role in primary cilia formation. KIF3A functions as a microtubule-based anterograde translocator for membranous organelles and forms a heterotrimeric KIF3 complex with KIF3B or KIF3C and an associated protein, KAP3. Mutations in in KIF3A have been associated with cranial base growth retardation and dysmorphogenesis.
