OverviewA Na+ channel opener. Increases intracellular Ca2+ levels without affecting Na+ - Ca2+ exchange. Acts at neurotoxin receptor site 2 and preferentially binds to activated Na+ channels causing persistent activation. Induces cell death in bovine chromaffin cells.
