Description
OverviewS-protein Agarose specifically retains S•Tag™ fusion proteins. The 15-amino acid S•Tag™ has the sequence Lys-Glu-Thr-Ala-Ala-Ala-Lys-Phe-Glu-Arg-Gln-His-Met-Asp-Ser (KETAAAKFERQHMDS). Binding can be performed in a column or batch mode. Elution is possible using slightly denaturing conditions or using a specific protease, such as thrombin or enterokinase, with appropriate recombinant proteins. The capacity of S-protein Agarose varies and is based on the size and folding characteristics of a given target protein.
