DescriptionNative alkaline phosphatase from human placenta. Homodimeric enzyme that hydrolyzes phosphate esters of primary and secondary alcohols, amines, and phenols. Useful in the hydrolysis of 5'-terminal phosphates of DNA and RNA. Active site contains a reactive serine.
