DescriptionAnti-Isocitrate Dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1)-R132H Antibody, clone HMab-1
Alternate Names
  • Isocitrate dehydrogenase [NADP] cytoplasmic
  • IDH
  • Cytosolic NADP-isocitrate dehydrogenase
  • IDP
  • NADP(+)-specific ICDH
  • Oxalosuccinate decarboxylase
Background InformationIsocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) is a 46 kDa NADP-dependent enzyme, which catalyzes the decarboxylation of isocitrate into α-ketoglutarate. IDH1 may also play a role in the prevention of oxidative damage, and the shuttling of proteins to peroxisomes. It is widely reported that mutations in IDH1 result in various types of glioma.

Applications
ApplicationDetect Isocitrate Dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1)-R132H using this Anti-Isocitrate Dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1)-R132H Antibody, clone HMab-1 validated for use in Western Blotting, IHC, ICC.
Key Applications
  • Western Blotting
  • Immunohistochemistry
  • Immunocytochemistry
Application NotesWestern Blot Analysis: A representative lot of this antibody detected Isocitrate Dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1)-R132S in a panel of wild-type and mutated recombinant IDH1 proteins.

Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A representative lot from an independent laboratory detected Isocitrate Dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1)-R132S in anaplastic and diffuse astrocytoma tissues and in primary glioblastoma tissues (Kato, Y., et al. (2009). Biochem Biophys Res Commun. 390(3):547-51.).

Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A representative lot from an independent laboratory detected Isocitrate Dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1)-R132S in transfected glioblastoma and transfected LN229 cells (Kaneko, M. K., et al. (2011). Biochem Biophys Res Commun. 406(4):608-613.).

Molecular Weight~90 kDa observed. The calculated molecular weight of Isocitrate Dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) is 47 kDA. However, a Western Blot was performed using an MBP-tagged recombinant Isocitrate Dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1). Because MBP has a molecular weight of ~42 kDa, a band was observed at ~90 kDa.
