      This product has been discontinued.





      A zwitterionic detergent containing an amido-dimethylammonio-butanesulfonate group that solubilizes and stabilizes integral membrane proteins by efficiently breaking aggregates. Shown to be compatible with urea (~7 M). Useful for analysis and characterization of band III, a 100 kDa polytransmembrane protein from red blood cells by two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DGE).
