      The 10X Strep•Tactin® Regeneration Buffer contains 2-[4'-hydroxy-benzeneazo] benzoic acid (HABA), which displaces desthiobiotin at the biotin-binding site on the Strep•Tactin resins. The yellow HABA changes the resin color from white to red when desthiobiotin has been removed, clearly indicating the regeneration process and activity status of the column.
