The Muse® Cell Analyzer uses microfluidics and flow cytometric principles to return 3-parameter data from every cell, at sample sizes that permit statistical analysis. “It’s too complicated.”

Once you understand what the Muse® can do, we think you’ll use it nearly every day — so we had to make it simple to use. The Muse® assays are optimized to eliminate variation from reagents and fluorophores. This means little or no setup is needed, and analysis of results is largely automated by software modules designed for each type of assay.


“No one in our lab is trained.”

All Muse® assays are already optimized so that little or no adjustment is needed prior to acquisition of cells. Simple, consistent quadrant gating makes it easy for any user to define subpopulations.


“We only have one target, so we just do Westerns.”

While accepted for decades as a standard assay for protein detection, the truth is that Western blotting requires trained personnel, target- and antibody-specific optimization, and can take two days to get results. What’s more, Western blots reduce complex tissues or thousands of cultured cells to a single parameter from complex tissues or thousands of cultured cells, losing all population heterogeneity in the process. The Muse® provides three-parameter data from every cell in a sample.


“We’re not an immunology lab.”
