      The pIEx™-9 3C/LIC vector is a 3C/LIC version of pIEx-9. The pIEx vectors are designed for cloning and high-level expression of proteins in transiently transfected Spodoptera-derived insect cells. Transcription is driven by the AcNPV-derived hr5 enhancer and immediate early promoter, ie1. The pIEx-9 3C/LIC vector contains an N-terminal, 8-amino acid Strep•Tag II coding sequence followed by a HRV 3C protease cleavage site and a multiple cloning site, with the option to encode optional sequences for a C-terminal thrombin cleavage site and a His•Tag (10-histidine) fusion.
