      Overview

      This product has been discontinued.

Recombinant, human, wild-type p53 fused at the N-terminus to a His•Tag® sequence and expressed in E. coli. p53, a tumor suppressor, blocks transformation and inhibits tumor cell growth. Numerous mutations in the p53 gene have been characterized in human cancers. Loss or mutation of p53 function is highly correlated with tumorigenesis. The purified protein is useful in DNA binding assays and as a protein kinase substrate.
