      Terrific Broth is a highly enriched granulated medium to improve the yield of plasmid DNA from E. coli. The granules ensure rapid and uniform dissolution in water, and prevent clumping of the medium and inhalation of the airborne powder. The composition of the Terrific Broth per liter is 12 g tryptone, 24 g yeast extract, 9.4 g potassium phosphate, dibasic, and 2.2 g potassium phosphate, monobasic. Use 47.6 g of granulated medium per liter of water.
