The S-protein FITC Conjugate is designed for in situ fluorescent detection of S•Tag™ fusion proteins. It has been optimized for maximum signal without loss in S-protein binding activity. Because of its small size, this conjugate penetrates cells rapidly. This makes it ideal for staining insect or mammalian cells to confirm recombinant protein expression. The 200 µl size will stain a minimum of 200 slides. The recommended working dilution for cell staining is 1:2,000.

      Brand Family Novagen®
      Application Data
S-protein FITC detection of baculovirus-expressed S·Tag fusion protein in infected Sf9 cells A BacVector® recombinant baculovirus expressing an S·Tag fusion protein was used to infect Ready-Plaque Sf9 Cells. Forty-eight hours after infection, the cells were processed and stained with S-protein FITC. Left panel, fluorescent illumination; right panel, phase contrast photo of the same field. Lower right insets are uninfected control cells. The Western blot insert in the right panel was performed with a total cell extract loaded in parallel with Novagen's Perfect Protein™ Markers and developed with S-protein AP Conjugate, which recognizes both the S·Tag fusion protein product and the markers.
