      Revision06-August-2007 RFH
ApplicationEnzyme Immunoassay (1:1000, see application references)
DescriptionPurified mouse monoclonal antibody conjugated to biotin. Recognizes human IgG4 Fc fragment.
BackgroundThe HP series of murine human Ig-specific monoclonal antibodies was produced from documented hybridoma cell lines that were developed at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia. Laboratory analysis of each monoclonal antibody lot is performed in two stages during the production of ascites. First, the cell culture medium is analyzed for the presence and relative amount of human Ig-specific antibody by ELISA before injection of cells into mice. Second, collected ascites are analyzed for potency and antibody specificity using ELISA and isoelectric focusing (IEF), often in combination with an affinity immunoblot. For more information, the Calbiochem® technical monograph, The Human IgG Subclasses, is available free of charge.
