      Revision01-April-2011 RFH
      SynonymsBoc-Lys(Ac)-AMC, MAL, N-(4-Methyl-7-coumarinyl)-Nα-(t-butoxycarbonyl)-Nω-acetyllysinamide
DescriptionA fluorogenic substrate for histone deacetylase (HD; excitation maximum: 330 nm; emission maximum: 395 nm).

Note: The histone deacetylase will cleave the Ac group and after the enzymatic reaction 2 peaks will be visible on HPLC. Before the reaction HPLC shows only one peak. The measure of second peak gives the degree of hydrolysis. It is important to use HPLC equipped with a fluorescence detector.
