Readily converted to GM1 by bacterial and mammalian sialidases without detergent or bile salts. One mole yields 2 moles of sialic acid by thiobarbituric acid assay. The molecular weight is based on stearoyl-18:0.

      Note: This product is not to be used for animal treatment, in vivo research, or in any other contact procedure with livestock.
