Mixture of purified pertussis toxin-sensitive G-proteins from bovine brain. Suitable for functional studies of G-proteins. Contains the following heterotrimeric G-proteins: Goα (4 - 5 μM), Giα-1 (1 - 2 μM), Giα-2 (1 - 2 μM), and Giα-3 (<1 μM). The βγ-subunit complex associated with these α-subunits represents the predominant form found in bovine brain. Characterized by GTPγS binding activity and by immunoblotting using subunit-specific antisera.
