May be an effective and safer alternative to Calcitriol (1α,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3; Cat. No. 679101) for suppressing PTH without causing hypercalcemia. Metabolized in vivo to the natural active dihydroxylated metabolite of vitamin D2, 1α,25-dihydroxyvitamin D2.
