DescriptionPurified mouse monoclonal antibody. Recognizes the SERPINE2 protein.
BackgroundSERPINE2 is a serine protease inhibitor with activity toward thrombin, trypsin, and urokinase. It shares several features with antithrombin III, an abundant plasma thrombin inhibitor. Both SERPINE2 and antithrombin III have high affinities for heparin, whereby heparin accelerates their rate of thrombin inhibition. The N terminus of SERPINE2 is identical to the N-terminal amino acid sequence of a glial derived neurite promoting factor.
