DescriptionPurified mouse monoclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~75 kDa SMO protein.
BackgroundSMO is a G protein-coupled receptor that probably associates with the protein, Patched (PTCH), to transduce hedgehog signalling. Binding of sonic hedgehog (SHH) to its receptor, Patched, is thought to inhibit the interaction between SMO and Patched.
