DescriptionAnti-Fidgetin Antibody
Background InformationFidgetin is a AAA protein that belongs to the meitoic or subfamily-7 (SF7) group of ATPases. These enzymes are associated with many different general cellular activities, such as but not limited to, membrane fusion, proteolysis, metabolic signaling, peroxisome biogenesis, endosome sorting, and meiotic spindle formation. However, the specific functions and mechanisms for SF7 AAA proteins remain largely unclear. It is reported that mutant Fidgetin is found in a mammalian developmental mutant and is suggested to play in role in embryonic development.
