Overview

This product has been discontinued.

Recombinant, rat VEGF-C (129-amino acids lacking the N- and C-terminal extensions and containing only the middle third VEGF homology domain) expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. Forms primarily non-covalent linked dimers that can phosphorylate VEGF-R3 (Flt-4). Its actions are mediated via VEGFR-2 on vascular endothelial cells. VEGF-C has been shown to be involved in the regulation of growth and differentiation of lymphatic endothelium.
Supplemented with 0.1% BSA or HSA.

SynonymsVascular Endothelial Growth Factor-C
DescriptionRecombinant, rat VEGF-C (129-amino acids lacking the N- and C-terminal extensions and containing only the middle third VEGF homology domain) expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. Forms primarily non-covalent linked dimers that can induce phosphorylation of VEGF-R3 (Flt-4). A lymphangiogenic factor that is reported to be involved in the regulation of growth and differentiation of lymphatic endothelium. The rat recombinant VEGF-C includes amino acids 100 (Gly) to 221 (Ile) and additional 7 amino acid linker along with a His•Tag® sequence (6X His). Exhibits approximately 86% homology with human and 97% homology with mouse VEGF-C. The molecular weight ranges from ~18-24 kDa.
