Recombinant, human UbcH9 conjugating enzyme expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. UbcH9 is a member of the E2 family of ubiquitin conjugating enzymes that is specific for the conjugation of SUMO-1, SUMO-2, and SUMO-3 to a variety of proteins including RanGAP1, IκBα and PML. It interacts directly with proteins that are modified by SUMOylation and may be important for substrate recognition.
