A highly hydrophilic [Cys-Cys] cyclic 11-mer peptide that facilitates transdermal protein drug delivery by creating a transient opening in the skin barrier. Topical coadministration of TD-1 has been shown to enable insulin and human growth hormone to reach systemic circulation in rats in vivo.
