Description
OverviewRecombinant, Pneumocystis carinii RAD51 fused at the N-terminus to a His•Tag® sequence and expressed in E. coli. The Pneumocystis cariniiRAD51 is equivalent to bacterial RecA and the homolog of yeast RAD51. It plays a pivotal role in the homologous recombination pathway for DNA double-strand break (DSB) repair. RAD51 has been shown to colocalize with tumor suppressor proteins BRCA1 (Cat. No. 203659) and BRCA2 in DNA-damage-induced foci and RAD51 is known to interact directly with BRCA2.
