Product Information
FormLyophilized
FormulationLyophilized from 10 mM PBS, 1% BSA, pH 7.4.
Applications
Key Applications Cell Inhibition Assays
Frozen Sections
Immunoblotting (Western Blotting)
Not Paraffin Sections
Application NotesCell Inhibition Assays (100 µg/ml)
Immunoblotting (10 µg/ml)
Immunohistochemistry (10 µg/ml)
Frozen Sections (10 µg/ml)
Paraffin Sections (not recommended)
Application CommentsSpecific for chicken and frog N-cadherin. Note: 10 mM Ca2+ should be present in all buffers to stabilize the cadherin antigen. The antibody may be used to inhibit N-cadherin-dependent cell-cell contact. Not suitable for use with paraffin-embedded sections, when used in immunohistochemistry. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the optimal working dilution.

Special InstructionsReconstitute in 50 µl dH₂O to yield a final concentration of 2 mg/ml. Further dilute in 20 mM TBS, pH 7.4, 10 mM CaCl₂, and 1% BSA. Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for long-term storage or add 0.1% sodium azide and refrigerate (4°C) for short-term storage (6 months). Avoid freeze/thaw cycles of solution. TBS is recommended as PBS causes precipitation.
