      Description
      OverviewA cell-permeable amidophenolic compound that inhibits hypoxia-induced HIF-1 transcription activity (IC50 = 0.7 and 2.6 µM using AGS and Hep3B cells, respectively, in a reporter assay) by selectively blocking the hypoxia-induced accumulation of cellular HIF-1α protein, while exhibiting no apparent effect on the cellular level of HIF-1α mRNA or that of HIF-1β protein. Shown to inhibit malate dehydrogenase 2 (MDH2) activity and suppress mitochondrial respiration. Also available as a 25 mM solution in DMSO (Cat. No. 400092).
