New superdisintegrant for solid formulations

Merck's product family of excipients is growing. The new superdisintegrant, Parteck® CCS (Croscarmellose Sodium), expands our portfolio for solid formulation.
Parteck® CCS can be utilized in low concentration and still impart exceptional disintegrating properties to final dosage forms. It is used to aid in faster disintegration of tablets, as required for immediate and fast release, orally disintegrating or sublingual tablets. Contact with water leads to the swelling of Croscarmellose Sodium, which results in mechanical expansion of the tablet, resulting in faster disintegration.
Parteck® CCS is a cross-linked polymer of carboxymethylcellulose sodium. As it does not contain any further additives, potential interactions with APIs or other oxidable ingredients are very limited. Additionally, due to being peroxide-free, solid dosage forms benefit from higher stability.
With Parteck® CCS, you can be confident of high quality and batch-to-batch consistency. And as an EMPROVE® exp product, Parteck® CCS comes with a dossier providing specifications in accordance with the requirements of a variety of pharmacopoeias (USP, PH Eur, JP), as well as details on impurities, stability data and a certificate of analysis (CoA). This way we reduce your workload and help you get to market faster.
