Is there a recipe for excellence?

Our Analytics service has an outstanding reputation for reliable, tailor-made service – but why, exactly? We asked Dietmar Oeter, Ph.D., for an impromptu analysis of what makes his own team so successful. Here's what he told us:

'The first reason is definitely our broad spectrum of analytical services. Besides chemistry, we also cover pharma – as well as in-house microbiology, organism detection and identification. Unlike many competitors, we offer PCR/sequencing methods, not just classical specification work. We offer a broad spectrum of elemental analytical techniques that enable us to set up impurity profiles which even exceed the acceptance criteria of the specification. And our own in-house particle analysis resources permit in-depth descriptions of the physical state of a substance. Building on that base, we can offer individual, customer-specific analytics for a wide range of product qualities.

Secondly, we are committed to excellence. We operate with an expert team of 500 pharmacists, chemists, engineers, and specialist lab technicians. We provide them with stateof- the-art tools and facilities, and back them with a high investment budget.

Thirdly, we never rest! With around a hundred customer and regulatory authorities audits a year, we have plenty of opportunities to review our own performance. So in effect, we analyze our own analytics all the time!

Due to these factors, customers know that when we approve a product, it will always match the specification one hundred percent. We examine every batch thoroughly, and provide a full suitability analysis. Most important of all, we offer something that's impossible to analyze, but vital all the same: peace of mind for their sensitive production processes.'
