      Description
OverviewRecombinant, Bacteroides fragilis endo-β-galactosidase expressed in E. coli. Endo-β-Galactosidase is an enzyme that hydrolyzes internal β-galactosidic linkages of oligosaccharides in poly-N-acetyl-lactosamine structures. This enzyme resembles the Escherichia freundii enzyme due to its specificity towards bovine corneal keratan sulphate, milk oligosaccharides and the glycolipids lacto-N-neotetraosylceramide and lacto-N-tetraosylceramide.

      Recommended reaction conditions
      Activity Assay
Required Reagents • 5X Reaction Buffer: 250 mM sodium phosphate, pH 5.8 Assay For Glycoproteins 1. Add up to 100 µg glycoprotein to a clean tube. 2. Add 4 µl 5X Reaction Buffer. 3. Add H2O to a total volume of 19 µl. 4. Add 1 µl endo-β-galactosidase. 5. Incubate at 37°C for 2 h. For Oligosaccharides Follow the assay as outlined above in steps 1-4. Incubate at 37°C for several h to several days, depending on the substrate.
