OverviewNative aminopeptidase N purified from human serum. Aminopeptidase N is a single-chain, integral membrane protease with broad specificity that functions to remove N-terminal amino acids from peptides. It also acts as a receptor for coronavirus and is known to play a role in angiogenesis, HIV entry, and in degradation of extracellular matrix as a result of tumor invasion.

DescriptionNative aminopeptidase N purified from human serum. Aminopeptidase N is a single-chain, integral membrane protease with broad specificity that functions to remove N-terminal amino acids from peptides. It also acts as a receptor for coronavirus and is known to play a role in angiogenesis, HIV entry, and in degradation of extracellular matrix as a result of tumor invasion. Activity is inhibited by amastatin, actinonin, and bestatin (Cat. No. 200484) (~150 µM).
