      Description
OverviewNative thrombin-activatable fibrinolysis inhibitor from human liver. Single chain glycoprotein synthesized in the liver. Circulates in plasma as a zymogen at a concentration of 50 nM. Activated by thrombin-thrombomodulin complex by proteolytic cleavage at Arg92. Believed to play an important role in interaction between the procoagulant, anticoagulant, and fibrinolytic systems.
