Application CommentsBlocks the binding of ICAM-1 and ICAM-3 to LFA-1. FACS was performed on 5x105 cultured human HPB-MLT cells using anti-CD18 antibody at 5 µg/ml and FITC-conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG. This antibody is also reported to work for immunoprecipitation and frozen sections. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.

DescriptionProtein A purified mouse monoclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~95 kDa β2 integrin subunit (CD18).
BackgroundHuman CD18 (β2 integrin) is expressed on leukocytes as part of a heterodimeric complex with either CD11a, b or c (integrins αL, αM, or αX). CD18/CD11 heterodimers function in cell adhesion in immune and inflammatory responses.
