DescriptionImmunoaffinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~56 kDa Chk1 protein when phosphorylated at Ser317.
BackgroundChk1 is a downstream protein kinase of ATM/ATR that plays an improtant role in DNA damage checkpoint, development, and tumor suppression. Chk1 is activated in response to various forms of genotoxic stress and replication blocks. Chk1 is activated by phosphorylation on Ser317 and Ser345. Chk1 can inactivate cdc25c and phosphorylate p53.
