OverviewA phytoestrogenic isoflavone found in soy-based foods. Displays potent antioxidant properties and acts as a selective inhibitor of the γ-isoform of alcohol dehydrogenase. Shown to interact with human estrogen receptors with low potency. Induces mammary gland proliferation in mice.
