You can order our most versatile polystyrene based Estapor® microspheres online. Each product/lot conforms to quality level (MQ) 300, and comes in a polyethylene bottle storable at 2-8°C.

Lateral Flow (LF) Europium Microspheres
We are proud to launch our new Estapor® Europium microspheres. Labeled with Europium, these microspheres provide several advantages over traditional fluorescent microspheres.
Estapor® Europium microspheres:
- significantly improve lateral flow assay sensitivity
- drastically reduce background fluorescence
- make assays easier to read and quantify
- exhibit a much longer Stokes shift than traditional fluorescent labels
- exhibit an enhanced fluorescent quantum yield facilitating a low detection limit
- are functionalized with a carboxylated surface for protein conjugation
- are available in three different size options.
Dyed Functionalized Microspheres
Estapor's colored microspheres are best suited for assays where the primary goal is simply detecting the presence or absence of the target analyte. Choose the desired combination of surface functionalization, color and size to find the best microsphere for your application.
Chemiluminescent Immunoassay (CLIA) Microspheres
Bio-Estapor® microspheres are pre-conjugated to streptavidin facilitating convenient separation, purification and detection of biotinylated biomolecules including antigens, antibodies and nucleic acids from different sources, such as blood, sera, tissues and food.
Alongside streptavidin-conjugation, our Bio-Estapor® microspheres also combine efficient magnetophoretic mobility, separating rapidly in a complex liquid as well as high surface area and low sedimentation rate. The Ferrite Content is 36-50%.
Immunoturbidimetry (LTIA) Microspheres
Estapor® microspheres offer a simple and convenient option for the development of a wide range Latex Turbidimetry Immunoassay (LTIA) diagnostic tests. The plain surface of the microsphere is designed to be easily and quickly coated with the antibody or antigen of choice via protein adsorption through hydrophobic and ionic interactions. The simplicity of this conjugation process is a key feature of these microspheres and has attracted many diagnostic test developers whom have successfully utilized these microspheres for several years in a wide variety of LTIAs. Our surfactant-free polystyrene microspheres are an excellent choice for LTIA diagnostic manufacturers for with more stringent requirements. Available in three microsphere size options, our surfactant-free range is highly uniform, exhibits high antibody/antigen binding and offers straightforward handling without the use of surfactant. Our smaller Estapor® microsphere, with its slower agglutination kinetics, is designed to help mitigate against the ‘hook’ or ‘prozone’ effect whereby the effectiveness of antibodies to form immune complexes can be diminished when concentrations of an antibody or an antigen are high. This provides diagnostic developers a further possibility to optimize their assays. Given the high refractive index of the polystyrene microspheres, the particles may exhibit a high degree of scattered light within some assays.
