Millipore’s infectious disease intermediates for further manufacturing use (FFMU) are standardized cell culture supernatants from cell lines expressing human monoclonal antibodies. These FFMU intermediates are for use in formulating calibrators or controls for use in immunoassays. By dilution and chemical additions, manufacturers can formulate their own finished calibrators or controls with reactivity profiles suitable for their specific applications.

These human monoclonal antibodies were developed from human lymphocytes so represent a truly human immune response to their specific infectious agent and as such offer a valid alternative to antibody containing plasma.
