DescriptionAnti-RALY Antibody
Alternate Names
  • RNA binding protein, autoantigenic (hnRNP-associated with lethal yellow homolog (mouse))
  • RNA-binding protein (autoantigenic)
  • hnRNP associated with lethal yellow protein homolog
  • hnRNP core protein C-like 2
  • RNA-binding protein (autoantigenic, hnRNP-associated with lethal yellow)
  • Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein C-like 2
  • RNA binding protein (autoantigenic, hnRNP-associated with lethal yellow)
  • Autoantigen p542
Background InformationRNA-binding protein RALY is a member of the RRM HNRPC family and contains a characteristic RRM (RNA recognition motif) domain. It is thought to participate in pre-mRNA splicing and may be a heterogenous nuclear ribonucleoprotein. Phosphorylation of RALY has been observed following damage to DNA. Expression has been observed in brain, heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas, and skeletal muscle.

Antibody TypePolyclonal Antibody
Entrez Gene Number
Entrez Gene SummaryIn infectious mononucleosis, anti-EBNA-1 antibodies are produced which cross-react with multiple normal human proteins. The cross-reactivity is due to anti-gly/ala antibodies that cross-react with host proteins containing configurations like those in the EBNA-1 repeat. One such antigen is RALY which is a member of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein gene family. [provided by RefSeq].
