Our broad portfolio consists of multiplex panels that allow you to choose, within the panel, analytes that best meet your needs. On a separate tab you can choose the premixed cytokine format or a single plex kit.
Cell Signaling Kits & MAPmates™
Choose fixed kits that allow you to explore entire pathways or processes. Or design your own kits by choosing single plex MAPmates™, following the provided guidelines.
The following MAPmates™ should not be plexed together:
-MAPmates™ that require a different assay buffer
-Phospho-specific and total MAPmate™ pairs, e.g. total GSK3β and GSK3β (Ser 9)
-PanTyr and site-specific MAPmates™, e.g. Phospho-EGF Receptor and phospho-STAT1 (Tyr701)
-More than 1 phospho-MAPmate™ for a single target (Akt, STAT3)
-GAPDH and β-Tubulin cannot be plexed with kits or MAPmates™ containing panTyr

Primary human cells are often used to study various areas of biology, particularly in drug screening and cell based assays. Due the the difficulties in obtaining human tissue samples and successfully isolating primary human cells, ready to use primary cells have become increasingly popular.
Merck offers primary human cells and optimized media for endothelial, epithelial and fibroblast cell research under the name EpiGRO™, EndoGRO™ and FibroGRO™. Each low passage primary cell line is paired with a unique proprietary growth media to ensure the highest proliferation rates possible.
Human Endothelial, Epithelial and Fibroblast Cells and Media
EndoGRO™
Merck offers the unique range of EndoGRO™ media formulations that provide optimal cell culture conditions for many types of endothelial cells, including HUVEC, aortic endothelial cells and other human large vessel, and microvascular endothelial cells. These low-serum formulations have been shown to grow endothelial cells at rates that meet or exceed other commercially available serum-containing media while maintaining excellent cell morphology. Also available are low passage Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVEC), which when cultured with the EndoGRO™ media provide an ideal cell model for vascular biology research.
EndoGRO™ Media Advantages:
Lower serum concentrations than standard endothelial cell culture media
Dramatically improved proliferation rates while maintaining excellent cell morphology
No phenol red or antimicrobials, which can cause cell stress and masking effects
Extensive QC and exacting standards to ensure lot-to-lot consistency
Special UV packaging to prevent light damage
Built-in temperature gauges to assist in contamination-free media warming
EpiGRO™ primary epithelial cells and specially formulated media improve epithelial cell culture for multiple cell types, including epidermal keratinocytes, small airway epithelial cells, corneal cells, and prostate epithelial cells. EpiGRO™ media formulations are optimized to provide better viability, proliferation rates, morphology and culture stability than other commercially available options.
Advantages of EpiGRO™ Cells and Media:
Serum-free or low-serum formulations
Improved viability and morphology
Increased cell culture longevity
Faster proliferation rates
No phenol red or other additives that produce masking effects
Unique light blocking and temperature-monitored packaging to promote media stability and better results
FibroGRO Xeno-Free Human Foreskin Fibroblasts are derived from normal human foreskin and have been isolated and manufactured under xeno-free conditions. Cells are supplied at a low passage number (p3 – p5) and proliferate rapidly when grown in FibroGRO™-LS, FibroGRO™ Complete, and FibroGRO™ Xeno-Free media. Three versions of FibroGRO™ media exists to fit your research need.
Advantages of FibroGRO™ Cells and Media:
Lower serum, serum-free and xeno-free media options
Dramatically improved proliferation rates with excellent cell morphology
No phenol red or antimicrobials, which can cause cell stress and masking effects
Extensive QC and exacting standards to ensure lot-to-lot consistency
UV-resistant packaging to prevent light damage
Built-in temperature gauges to assist in contamination-free media warming
