DescriptionPurified mouse monoclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~70-80 kDa bone sialoprotein.
BackgroundExcept for osteocalcin and osteonectin, bone sialoprotein (BSP) is one of the major noncollagenous proteins in the extracellular matrix of bone. BSP could be useful as a potential serum marker for monitoring bone remodeling in diseases concerning bone turnover, pathological bone alterations and the rapid increase of osteoporosis.
