MilliporeSigma named ‘Top Place to Work’ by The Boston Globe
  • Company receive recognition based on positive employee survey responses

Billerica, Massachusetts, November 18, 2016 MilliporeSigma today announced that it has been named to The Boston Globe’s annual “Top Places to Work” list.

This award marks the second of its kind in as many months. Last month, Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, ranked number 11 among the top 20 employers in the global biopharmaceutical industry by Science magazine, a leading peer-reviewed international scientific publication.

The Boston Globe’s research partner, Workplace Dynamics, ranked 125 Massachusetts employers by analyzing employee responses to a confidential 24-question survey. The survey covered several topics including benefits, management and employee engagement.

Top Places to Work recognizes the best places to work in the state based on internal employee surveys. Employers who enter to be surveyed are placed into one of four groups: small, with 50 to 99 employees; midsize, with 100 to 249 workers; large, with 250 to 999; and largest, with 1,000 or more. In total, the Massachusetts-based businesses of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany employ approximately 2,300 people in Massachusetts. MilliporeSigma employees approximately 1,100 people in Massachusetts.
