OverviewEMD Millipore’s MILLIPLEX® MAP Human Myokine Magnetic Bead Panel 15-plex kit to be used for the simultaneous quantification of any or all of the following analytes in human serum and plasma samples and in cell/tissue supernatants: Fractalkine/CX3CL1, BDNF, Oncostatin M (OSM), Osteonectin (SPARC), LIF, FGF-21, Erythropoietin (EPO), IL-15, IL-6, Apelin, Myostatin/GDF8, Irisin, Osteocrin/Musclin, FABP3 and Follistatin-Like Protein (FSTL 1).

MILLIPLEX® MAP offers the broadest selection of analytes across a wide range of disease states and species. Once the analytes of interest have been identified, you can rely on the quality that we build into each kit to produce results you can trust. In addition to the assay characteristics listed in the protocol, other performance criteria evaluated during the validation process include: cross-reactivity, dilution linearity, kit stability and sample behavior (e.g. detectability and stability). ApplicationThe Human Myokine Panel, using the Luminex xMAP technology, enables the simultaneous analysis of 15 myokine protein biomarkers in human serum, plasma and cell/tissue culture samples.

Application NotesAlthough a two hour sample incubation may be used, for optimal sensitivity, use an overnight (16-18 hour) incubation. Serum and plasma samples require (recommend) a 1:2 dilution with Assay Buffer. Tissue culture supernatants may be run neat or appropriately diluted in control medium. Each well requires 25 μL of sample, standard or control.
