      OverviewNative fetuin from fetal bovine serum. An α-globulin that inhibits trypsin activity and promotes cell attachment, growth, and differentiation in many different culture systems. Also contains both N- and O-glycosidically-linked carbohydrates. Functions as an opsonin for cationic-deactivating molecules in macrophages.

      DescriptionNative fetuin from fetal bovine serum. α1-Globulin present in amounts of 40-50% of total serum protein. After birth it is reduced to 40 mg/100 ml. Important supplement to many serum-free media. Inhibits trypsin activity and promotes cell attachment, growth, and differentiation in many different culture systems. Also contains both N- and O-glycosidically linked carbohydrates. Functions as an opsonin for cationic-deactivating molecules in macrophages. Product must not come in contact with ruminating animals or swine.
