Alternate Names
  • Staphylococcal nuclease domain-containing protein 1
  • 100 kDa coactivator
  • EBNA2 coactivator p100
  • Tudor domain-containing protein 11
  • p100 co-activator

Background InformationTudor-SN, also known as Staphylococcal nuclease domain-containing protein 1, 100 kDa coactivator or EBNA2 coactivator p100 or Tudor domain-containing protein 11 or p100 co-activator, and encoded by the gene name SND1 or TDRD11, plays an important role in PIM1 regulation of MYB acitivity and acts as a transcriptional activatior of EBNA-2. SND1 also interacts with EAV, NSP1,GTF2E1 and GTF2E2, and forms a ternary complex with STAT6 and POLR2A. SND1 ic localized to the cytoplasm and in IL-4 stimulated cells SND1 co-localizes with STAT6 in the nucleus. SND1 plays an important role in the assembly of STAT6 transcriptome and stimulates IL-4-dependent transcription by mediating interaction between STAT6 and CBP.
