Application CommentsFACS was performed on 5x105 cultured Raji human tumor cells. Optimal binding concentration tested was 5 µg/ml using FITC-conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG as a secondary antibody. This antibody has also been reported to work for frozen sections, immunoprecipitation, and paraffin sections. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.

DescriptionProtein A purified mouse monoclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~44 kDa CD40 protein.
BackgroundHuman CD40 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) family of cell surface receptors, and is found on all B cells (except plasma cells) and some epithelial, carcinoma, and lymphoid dendritic cells. Through binding of its ligand (CD40L/CD154/gp39), CD40 plays an important role in B-cell activation and isotype switching.
