DescriptionMILLIPLEX MAP Mouse Cytokine/Chemokine Magnetic Bead Panel II Premix Space Saver (Bulk) Packaging
OverviewThe MILLIPLEX® MAP Mouse Cytokine/Chemokine Magnetic Bead Panel II Premixed 14 Plex, contains all the components necessary to measure the following 14 biomarkers using Luminex® xMAP® technology: Erythropoietin (EPO), Exodus-2/CCL21/6Ckine, Fractalkine/CX3CL1, IFNβ1, IFNγ, IL-11, IL-16, IL-17A/F, IL-20, MCP-5/CCL12, MDC/CCL22, MIP-3α/CCL20, MIP-3β/CCL19, TARC /CCL17. The kit uses a 96-well format, contains a lyophilized standard cocktail, two quality controls and can measure up to 38 serum, plasma, or cell/tissue culture samples in duplicate.
Background InformationCytokines are immunomodulatory polypeptides that play key roles in both adaptive and innate immune responses. A generic term, “cytokines” includes myokines (produced by muscle cells), lymphokines (produced by activated Th cells), interleukins (acting as mediators between T cells) and chemokines (responsible for T-cell migration). One of the regulatory mechanisms of the immune system, cytokines act at the recognition, activation, or effector phases of an immune response, modulating the development and functional activities of the subtypes of T cells, B cells and myeloid cells. Consequently, research involving cytokines plays a significant role in achieving a deeper understanding of the immune system and its multi-faceted response to most antigens, especially those responses that make up the inflammatory process. In addition the mouse model and mouse-to-human translational studies provide data essential to understanding the role of cytokines and immune response in both normal and disease states.

Applications
ApplicationSimultaneously analyze multiple cytokine and chemokine biomarkers with Bead-Based Multiplex Assays using the Luminex technology, in mouse serum, plasma and cell culture samples.
Key Applications
  • Multiplexing
Application NotesThis assay is an overnight assay (16 hour incubation) or same day assay (2 hour incubation). Serum and plasma samples require (recommend) a 1:2 dilution with Assay Buffer. Each well requires 25 μL of sample, standard or control. Tissue culture supernatants can also be used and if needed, make appropriate dilutions with control medium.
