DescriptionAnti-p31comet Antibody, clone E29.19.14
Alternate Names
  • MAD2L1-binding protein
  • Caught by MAD2 protein
Background Informationp31comet is also called MAD2L1-binding protein (MAD2L1BP) and Caught by MAD2 protein (CMT2). p31comet silences the spindle checkpoint and allows mitosis to proceed through anaphase by binding MAD2L1 after it has become dissociated from the MAD2L1-CDC20 complex. p31comet is expressed throughout the cell cycle, with levels increasing and then remaining constant until late mitosis after which they drop.
